RITA is one of the RF ablation techniques. They "cook" the tumors. It has been used a lot for liver mets in colorectal cancer. Now it is being used for Breast and Pancreas liver mets. I have heard of them using this on primary breast and Pancreatic tumors. The devices they use are already FDA approved. There's a study going on at NCI. Here's the contact information I got: 1-800-411-1222 prpl @mail.cc.nih.gov I hope your mother can have this and that it will help her.
