I'd say if he has not already done this to go to the Social Security office tomorrow and file a disability claim. File for both SSI and SSDI. They will use tomorrow's date. He could have SSI money very, very quickly (I'm thinking about 2 weeks, about $700 a month) while they are getting the other SS money approved. If he has PC, he will be approved on the fast track. I applied at the end of Sept and had SS by the end of that December, including back pay for anything beyond that first 6 months you have to wait (which he has already done). File it TOMORROW, even if you don't have all the information they need together yet, the date counts for the SSI.

Good luck. I really hope he will have more coming to him thru SS, but even if not, SSI should be there.
