Sorry I haven't been around for a while. Tending to Mom's needs and working has devoured most of my time. Just yesterday she had diarrhea - white stools - and today she said her urine is orange. She's also had severe cramping for the last few days. We don't see any jaundice...yet. Is this the start of bile duct obstruction - and a spread of the PC to her liver? Through some online research, that's what it sounds like. Mom has an appt. at Dana Farber (satellite outside of Boston) today, and I'm trying to come up with as many questions as possible. As a reminder...Mom is 84 and was dx 3 mos. ago. This doc. at DF said NO TREATMENT...Mom too weak, chemo & radiation side effects too much for her to go through. She's been holding her own, no constant pain, decent appetite most of the time (Megace), but always wants to go to bed. Her depression has become pretty severe, despite Prozac and Xanax. Trying to prepare for the worst. As if it isn't bad enough already.
