Six years ago my husband had Whipple with 9 of 13 lymph nodes test positive. He didn't have clear margins. He had chemo for six weeks followed by radiation for six weeks. He is doing remarkably well. He has never had a recurrence. Two years he quit going to the cancer doctors for checkups. He said at his age (now 84) that he wouldn't do any treatments, so why check. No two people are alike, and there is no rhyme nor reason to this disease.
