Hi Shelley, I have not been following your story, but I wonder what you mean you have no local doctor? You surely have a PCP that is local to you. You don't always need the oncologist. Sometimes they really aren't even that helpful. Their job is the cancer, and that's about it. It's what they do, and you certainly need them for that, but not for everything.

I count on my PCP for a lot of my care, including digestive issues, weight issues, pain problems, and my diabetes. He has been better than Oncology for all of that.
