Dr. Lee is best of the best, do not give him as your GI. Though the distant is far. I could recommend you my Oncology Team, but they are in Long Beach, and that is a beast of drive come in SB.
I should tell you Dr. Lee is not my GI per say. But he is part of the Oncology team that I have in place. My regular GI refers, me to when he thinks things out of whack, which has not been a while since I last some him.
The other piece of advise that I strongly recommend is, when you do find an Oncologist, ask him if he has back plan for you husband treatment if he can not tolerate the chemo. May sure that, if you want second opinions he is open too it and will taking direction from other Oncologist to treat your husband if decide to go out of state but receive treatment here in CA.
On more thing, for Radiation treatment I would with out a doubt go to Long Beach Memorial - Chief Radiation Oncologist is one of the best in North America if not the best. Alam Nisar M. Syed, MD is the doctor.
Dr. Syed came recommend to us from another Radiation Oncologist who is a very close friend, it was the only one she would see if she required radiation.
G-D's Blessing be on you and your family. If you have any question call me. I
