My husband had his endoscopy with bx yesterday at UC Irvine .Doctor said his tumor is a 2-3 and he will need chemo and radiation then down the line surgery. Dr Lee was straight forward did not sugar coat anything. Although no other organs are involved somehow it was had to hold on to that as good news. He assures me that there is a good oncologist in Santa Barbara which is an hour from us so we need to find one. He said unless you can rent a place or have family having weekly rounds for months it is best to be near home. We only have a son in San Jose who has a new baby and my best friend I am numb and we are heading home in an hour. The trip here was brutal so coming to southern CA for long term care seems not feasible. Lost. Shaken nd very isolated in our small town.
