My husband has non-operable net on head of pancreas with mets on liver. He has been on sutent for 2 months and has been experiencing more and more asceities. Was getting drained every 3 days after had 15 literes drained at the start of August. They just put in a catheter so we can drain the fluid at home. He is experience alot of pain from this procedure. Just wondering if anyone else has had this done? Any suggestions? They are saying the asceities is from the blood vessels being squeezed by the tumor and that is causing the asceities.

I am very worried about him. We have been in this battle for not even 2 years. I feel like he is starting to slip away. He is scared to sign paperwork to pass away at home but feel like we must get things in order quickly.

Any words from anyone that has experience with this type of drain for asceities would be appreciated. Take care everyone.
