Someone stole my Ipod while I was recuperating from knee replacement surgery in a rehab facility. There were cameras in the halls but of course not in the rooms. After my Ipod mishap, the facility decided to provide small safes for their patients use. (One of the officials had the gall to say she had seen my son on the tape visiting me the evening prior to discharge, and asked if there was any possibility that he had taken the Ipod! I told her that her facility was in enough trouble and she should probably not say anymore!) They did have the grace to replace my Ipod.

All this is by way of saying be careful what you take with you if there isn't proper, safe storage for your things.

Good luck with your surgery.
