Thanks to the board, my husband filed for diability. He is 58 years and still working. We didn't think we would qualify for benefits, because he is still working, but we did. Pancreatic cancer along with ALS and few other diagnoses are evaluated immediately. We went to the Social Security (must have an appointment for interview) office with all our medical reports (as the poster instructed) and our application was approved in one day. My soon to be 16 year old daughter will also be recieving benefits until she is 18 years old. There is a 5 month waiting period which we satisfied becasue he was diagnosed in August. We received benefits dating back to January. Thanks again for the valuable information.
