Yes, smoking is a contributors to cancer, including pancreatic cancer, but lots of non-smokers also get the disease too. Generally if you want to live a long life - don't smoke, drink in moderation, exercise, eat your veggies and watch for too much meat. After that, it is all a luck of the draw for good genes.

The problem with alot of reporting by the media is everyone is looking for the 'ONE' thing that causes a disease. The reality we know now about cancer is that is caused by many, many things in a combination with our genes.
