Everyone is different, it can be genes, environment or diet, all three or one of the combination. Try to control the environmental agents (pesticides) and stick to a good diet, as for your genes, in todays medical community, you can have yearly CT scans - if you are willing to expose yourself to the radiation in being proactive.
