Please people.... stop knocking yourself out.

THESE ARE NOT THE MAJOR CAUSES OF PANCREATIC CANCER.

This are risk factors. Tiny contributors.... from association studies.

The cause of pancreatic cancer is based in your genetics, and random mutations.

Each of us individually will never get a 'why' answer that is completelysatisfactory.

Why did my mom - who didn't smoke, drink, eat meat, have diabetes, was healthy get PC while her sister who drank, smoked, didn't exercise, ate a lot of meat? OBVIOUSLY the risk factors are only a small proportion. And the genetics are so complicated that two sisters can have very different paths.

She was unlucky.

And since there is nothing you can do about luck, if you are in a family that has a lot of cancer already (so your luck may be a little worse...) try to optimize your risk factors if you can, and follow up closely with your doctor.
