These type of messages really annoy me. I have never smoked, weight right on, I'm always active, ride a motorbike whenever I can, cut my own grass etc and I have PC. One doctor was so bold as to say 'patient purports not be a smoker'. I am a Beaver Cleaver type of guy. Worked on my cars all my life, never inactive. No family of PC, I have 15 aunts and uncles on my father's side and 11 on my mother's, not counting spouses. people in my family have dementia. I wish they could find the cause as I have children of my own and that's a worry none of us need. Only medical problem I had was an appendectomy at 4, very young for that. I am part of a couple of trials and research programs and can no longer have chemo because of low platelets. I just wonder what we have in common beyond the generic 'smoking' leads to cancer as that is not part of my history. My parents never smoked, my brother is a pipe smoker and healthy. There should be ONE place where all questions can be addressed of PC patients without fear and Compiled on a computer and all similarities be shot out, then we'll really know if obesity, inactivity, smoking are common to all of us. My history already proves no Don't mean to rant but I wont blame myself for something that is still a great mystery. Rock on PC patients!
