Cindy, I have followed you on both boards, as we are 'kindred spirits'. After a digonosis of viral gastroenteritis in January my doc upped me to Omeprazole twice a day. I told him my insurance wouldn't cover PPI's, but he had already sent scritp to pharmacy via internet. When I was picking up my Rx's, the price for Omeprazole was $187.00 for 60 pills. I told the girl at pharmacy counter to return it because I couldn't afford it. A pharmacist working in the back piped up and said 'we'll match K-Mart's price'! So for $10/mo. I get the Prilosec generic (20 mg.) for much less than even buying it OTC.
