Thanks everyone- lots of good information. Platelets went down right after I restarted Nexium. I was on it before but my Oncologist stopped it but doesn't remember why. I restarted it after a biliary/duodenum bypass/partial Whipple by my Gastro doctor. I have almost two weeks for Oncologist appt. and I'll wait to see platelet count, than if not good I'm going to stop the Nexium. I looked it up under long term effect and my symptoms were listed but for GERD use. No-one on the side effects board said anything about Whipple. Thanks!

Ray
