We didn't have a very good experience at Northwestern. Our time was spent only with an oncologist, as we weren't surgical candidates.

Never once did our doctor call with results of a scan. We always had to make an appointment, and wait hours to see a doctor. It was very unpleasant. Our doctor also didn't even look at the results of the scan until we were sitting there with him, and he looked it up on the computer. He never looked at the images himself, or showed us the scans. Our doctor was also out of town all the time. Including the entire month during which my mom passed.

The only reason we stayed is that I knew people at that hospital who helped facilitate some of our issues. It wasn't worth it though.
