I have had my ups and downs with this protocol. We made some changes 4 weeks ago and I have had 2 treatments since the changes. Still a little rough. Treatment starts on Wednesday with and 8 hour infusion (approx.), followed by 46 hours on and infusion pump. So, that pretty much eliminates Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Saturday and Sunday are OK, except I sleep the majority of both days. Missy and I have just reconciled ourselves to the fact that we are going to just not schedule anything for those five days.
By Monday I usually feel pretty good and start pushing myself more. I have coffee every morning at Starbucks with a group of goofs that I call friends, then home for breakfast. A nap from 10am to 1 or 2pm. A bike ride (20-25 miles), dinner by 6pm bed by 8:30-9pm. Naps get shorter as the week goes by, but I spend a lot more time in bed than I have in the past. The good part about the naps is that I wake up refreshed and feeling good. I really don't have much to complain about.
God has been good to me.
