My husband's pancreas atrophied which prompted his doctor to test him further and we ultimately found out about the PC. He had the whipple with about 1/3 of the pancreas removed -- however, he is not a Type I (or Type IIB) diabetic -- which puts him taking insulin. I would check further into the pancreas atrophy. My husband's no longer works. I don't mean to say this is your husband's situation -- I am just commenting on my husband's situation.

Also -- I am so sorry about your husband's pain. I know my husband has pains in his back right shoulder -- he does not complain but I do believe this is as a result of his lung mets. Good Luck to you!!
