You might also check to see if the Hospice group you are dealing with is a
for profit or a non-profit set up. There is a great local non-profit one
here, that is being challenged by the advertising of a new, more regional for
profit group. Also, I do think you would have every right to tell the nurse
to her face to keep her personal opinions to herself unless asked a direct
question for input. What your husband, you and the family decide is not for
her to comment on with any bias as she is there to be only in a certain role.
I do take it that this awful RN is not your Case Manager and in charge of
any dollar cost decisions. It is great that your husband is perking up and
improving and for anyone to seemingly lessen his chances for good quality is
crazy. Get the rules in writing on how one can go as mentioned from maybe
between Home Health Care and Hospice Care.
