Trudy and Stacy, I'm having my son sit in on the next meeting with this nurse to see why she is so negative. Unfortunately we may be stuck with her due to my insurance coverage. She said she's been doing hospice for years so I am confused as to why others are encouraging us to have hope for more quality time and she tells us to do it 'naturally', without chemo. I'm confused. Also, she told us that procedures like maintaining his stents (ERCP) would not be covered. This is so outrageous since the stents and their patency are crucial palliative measures. I feel like I'm losing my mind sometimes at all the hurdles this cancer presents. I know he looks cachesic but he is eating well and very active. He is getting stronger now!!
