Stargazer, I would fire the hospice nurse! Who speaks to another person like that? 'Too weak to get out of his system?' If she is a RN she should know that the kidneys continue to work and that would excrete the chemo. I am not an oncology RN but am a RN MSN and palliative chemotherapy has a place and he can stop ANY time HE wants, more impotently there is ALWAYS hope, whether it be for cure, remission or pain free passing. My best to you and your husband
