My husband had VATS to the one 11mm lung nodule on 12/12. He has been feeling well. We meet with the oncologist on 1/5 to discuss further treatment. He has been on Xeloda alone since 6/09 when he had chemoembolization to 3 liver tumors. He had been NED until this one lung nodule showed up. He had a PET scan prior to the lung surgery and nothing else lit up. I am thinking that the oncologist will recommend staying the course since his quality of life is very good and is asymptomatic.I believe he will suggest just keeping an eye on things with 3 month scans rather than adding additional chemo that could effect his quality of life. Any thoughts on keeping the course or adding additional chemo since it has now shown up in the lungs? Thanks for any suggestions.
