From my experience, once you are discharged John Hopkins they will not reply to any requests for help for any problems caused by their treatment - THERE IS NO FOLLOW THROUGH AT ALL FOR PATIENTS!
My wife had surgery at Jonn Hopkins a month ago, was discharged and travled home. During exit interview with the doctor, before heading home, her John Hopkins doctor said that he did not want any other doctors in our home town involved with 'fixing' any post-surgery problems that might occrur!
A week after arriving home, complications from her surgery forced her to go to our local hospital emergency room for treatment. They determined that she had to be admitted. She has been in the hospital for almost 3 weeks now and she has had no luck in contacting this doctor. She has been deserted.
I have recently spoken to aother former John Hopkins surgery patient and they reported the same experience. She had complications and her surgery too but her doctor would not return one oh her phon calls - the same thing that happend to my wife. Not one call returned after 3 weeks in the hospital!
Unethical comes to mind.
