My dad's girlfriend was scheduled to have a Whipple this past friday. Unfortunately, once the surgery began they found that the tumor had wrapped around an artery, so they were unable to continue. I know they removed a small part of her intestine and a few other things. The next step is for her to begin Chemo with the hope that this will shrink the tumor. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or has some advice or questions that I can pass along to them for when they meet with the doctors and oncologist on Monday. We live in Michigan and they are at John Hopkins. Thank you. This message board is an amazing source of information.
