My wonderful Dad was diagnosed with bile duct cancer. It has spread to his
liver and gall bladder. Dad underwent a liver resection during which the
surgeon removed two thirds of his liver, his bile duct and his gall bladder.
Prior to the diagnosis and surgery he was physically fit and didn't appear
Since the surgery he has physically declined, losing weight he can ill afford
Eight weeks in hospital and two weeks home he is weak but doing his best to
get stronger. The appointment with the Oncologist this week revealed the
cancer spread to his lymph nodes and is very aggressive. There is a small
window to treat him but he is too unwell for chemotherapy, the hospital told
him chemotherapy would kill him as he is not physically able for it. So we
wait for a full body scan next week and pray.
