Steve did radiation/Gemzar for six weeks. At about four weeks it started getting really tough, with nausea and fatigue. He lost weight even though we worked hard at adding supplements twice a day. We were told that in two weeks the effects would be about 80% gone, but it really took almost four weeks. They initially considered the 5FU/Radiation but the Radiation doc at MDA decided to go with the Gemzar. Told us later that it was his 'toughest' regimen. Ha.

Scheduled for Whipple on the 7th - if the restaging goes well.
