E.J. had that procecdure BUT, he wound up having those same kinds of issues a year later, actually with bile coming back up into his lungs, which was very dangerous, then had procedure to remove bile from lungs. He should have been on questran powder immediately after the surgery. Because he had no stomach valve after his surgery and stomach outlet was re-routed to the other side, there was nothing to keep the bile from coming way back up to the top of the stomach from the intestines; so that isn't a guarantee of no bile problems. However, he was able to digest his food and was eating well up to a few hours before he passed away. They put him on questran about 3 months before he died and he should have had it all along, apparently, it keeps the bile down at the bottom of the stomach instead of coming way up. Prayers to you.
