I was first diagnosed with a biopsy of the liver met. My local hospital said it was pancreatic carcinoma. When I went to MD Anderson, my doctor looked at me (healthy looking woman) and said that something was wrong. I got my biopsy slides from my local hospital and MD Anderson redid those same slides. It showed well differentiated islet cell tumor (NET). I would get it rediagnosed. I had no symptoms and all of my blood work was normal. I have since had a whipple and liver resection. My CAT scans this week were NED after almost 2 years.
