I had problems with mid-back pain for months prior to being diagnosed. Just a persistent ache like a sore muscle. I thought it was due to getting a little older and my somewhat physical job. Long periods of standing, walking or working would make it worse so in my mind that seemed to confirm my self-diagnosis. Since my whipple it has been 100% gone, no back trouble at all.
