I am confused, you say that your mother has a history of having gall stones? About 3 month ago I started to feel a pain on my right side of the stomach, starting at my ribcage and going down. Went to the doctor, had a sonogram, and they told me I had gall stones, and they had to be removed. Went for the operation thinking they were going to removed the stones, but after the operation was performed, they told me that the gallbladder had been removed. So the reason I say that I'm confused is because if your mother had a history of having gall stones, why wasn't her gallbladder removed?
