Rosie - I think you are probably doing the best that you can to be aware that you are at higher risk but also not to panic. A single parent with PC does not necessarily mean that you will have PC, too. Though it is hard to control the fear at times.

Having an annual physical and making sure your physician knows your complete family history is a good start. You may want to consider joining the JHH Tumor Registry Board. It's free and they are collecting data to be used for early detection testing. Some individuals where there are multiple cases, have had an ERCP done to test for early signs.

You might also want to see if you can identify which foods trigger any issues and limit their compsuption.
