In fact, I already copied and saved your post about Dr. Fine's GTX protocol when you posted it previously. I had it written down when we saw the doctor two days ago, just in case.
It is just so painful having a doctor who you have to push about everything.... He actually walked out of the clinic room while I was still talking, asking him to keep an open mind. My mother starts crying during the visit, and doesn't even look at her, or acknowldege her in any way. And what's amazing, is she looks/feels fine! A miracle, actually, and yet he has nothing to say to encourage.
We are realistic. We just want some support.
What's sad is that I have communicated with Dr. Von Hoff's office before when I was getting advice on genetic testing. He told his nurse that the doctor my mom has is 'one of the best'. Well, well, well... I guess he has never been his patient!
So I will hope we will make it 1 more month, and then I will push to add
Xeloda. Maybe that will be too late...
