I was off pain meds when I left the hospital. I had very little pain from the surgerical site. Most of the discomfort I had was from the TPN in the IV arm.

Periodically, I would get a very sharp - air gasping pain in the belly but never knew when it would it nor did it last more than 5 to 30 seconds so pain meds did not help. As time progressed, that sharp pain got less and less. Now, 8 year later - it rarely happens.
