My husbands CA 19-9 has always been really low; less than 1.5 for most of the 14 months; his CEA was 16 and now down to 11.5; but his oncologist says the CEA is a non-specific tumor marker; but the surgeon said it can be more reliable than the CA-19-9. He is Stave 4, so guess it doesn't really make much difference; none of his levels has ever been very high from the very beginning.
