My mom developed an ulcer during chemo and early one morning vomited a large amount of black fluid (and had also be complaining for a couple of days of stomach pain). We took her to the ER and they admitted her immediately. She spent 2 days in ICU - they eventually did an endoscopy and found the ulcer. It wasn't the tumor breaching the stomach wall, which was a relief at the time. They thought it may have had more to do with the steroids she was given before chemo and the Aleve she was taking for the fever. Anyway, she ended up receiving 4 pints of blood and also plasma. I would strongly suggest you take your mom to the ER as soon as possible. Also (and I'm sorry this is a little disgusting) I poured the vomit in a plastic container and took it into the ER with us so they could figure out what was coming up. My prayers go out to you and your mom. Keep us posted on how she is doing.
