If your dad wants to stop treatment, then respect his decision and get hospice care in place NOW. Many times, patients will start to feel beter with hospice in place because they are focused on pain control. They should and can treat his side affects so that he can have the best quality of iife possible.

Hospice is not just about end of life care but really quality of life care. Prayers to you and your dad as you continue on this journey.
