I just got off the phone with my 76 yr. old dad who lives 2 hrs. away. He is scheduled to go in to his Dr. tomorrow for tests. This includes some type of scope down to look at his stomach and a biopsy. Dad has had stomach problems for a few years. Only explanation after several tests is his stomach is "highly infected". Symptoms are:nauseated, loss of appetite, nothing tastes good, some pain and he gets the chills and sweats. Now mom just passed away feom PC 7 weeks ago. Dad hasn't been loosing weight; I think that is a good sign. But, he is a diabetic and I do hear of people being diabetic with PC. I am so scared! Not sure what to do. I know we need to take ACTION NOW!!!! I am going back home on Saturday. I suppose we should get dad checked into a larger hospital, presumably the University of Nebraska Medical Center where mom went. It is about 3 hrs. from dads. Does this sound like possible PC????????????????????? Suzy II
