Dear Rosie, Thank you for your letter.I did not have any surgery. When discovered it was Stage 4,in liver. My tumor was also 4. Gave me Taxol and carboplatin, which I got very ill and did not work.Lost all my hair all over my body. Then Gemzar, which worked for 10 months. It takes time, when you have to live on Chemo, to get the dose correct. Each patient is different. That is why your children's father could not receive the Gemzar for that week.Levels were low. That is a common thing.I pray it works for him.I do not have it in my stomach.I am presently on Xeloda and that has worked since January 2000.I thank God everyday that he has given me this time with my sons, who are now 11,15, and 19 and my husband.Give my love, and I mean love, to your children's husband. He needs to be loved, hugged, and listened to so very desperately.Nancy in Boston
