I am totally the same way; but don't be afraid to call for help; our chemo nurse and the doctors were excellent in helping us in so many ways; it is much better than wondering and better than have him suffer for nothing when there is so much they can do to help. I have gotten some of my best help from others here who are going through the same thing; but before changing anything, be sure to check with doctors and nurses because what works for one person may not work for another. Like my son told me (he is 34 and had colon cancer last year and had to have his colon removed) He gave me the best advice ever; he said 'Mom, you are not his mother, try not to get over anxious with every little thing; he is a grown man and an intelligent man; just try to help as best you can without becoming his personal hovercraft! I think that was very good advice, it helped me a lot.
