That hemoglobin is pretty good. However, some people will see drops in their hemoglobin with chemotherapy over time.

One good thing to do is make sure he has a ferritin blood test checked in the near future. That tells you how much iron he has stored in his body. To make enough hemoglobin/red blood cells, you must have enough iron (ferritin). Once you get that checked, if it is less then 100, talk to your doctor about starting an iron pill to replenish his stores.
