In conjunction with getting additional opinions, we picked up my biopsy slides and hand-carried them to two different hospitals. One was local so we drove them across town, and one was out of state and we carried them on the plane). Both hospitals had their own radiology/pathology departments review the slides and creaste independent reports. There was no contradiction in my original diagnosis.

When done, we personally returned my tissue slides to the library at the original hospital. I didn't want any risk of the tissue slides getting lost by mail or delivery service. My memory foggy, but I sorta think the first hospital had a policy of not sending off slides to another hospital and that the only way they could be checked out was to me.
