When I was diagnosed in July'06, the doctor insisted we cancel our planned trip to N.Y. and get started immediately with biopsies and other. Fortunately(or not), it is NET and was slow growing, but I don't think we would have enjoyed the trip knowing that I had a serious illness to deal with. My husband was in remission from leukemia at the time, and I think the trip might have been too stressful for him, also. Maybe you need to discuss this further with your oncologist.
