my husband Bogdan was diagnosed with pancan, stage 2B sept 2007. he did quite well until middle december 2009, started losing appetite, weight,CA 19-9 went up from 5 to 30 in three months, liver functionand Gamma Gt also rose, but not much. he finally agreed to PET and Ct, last thursday (had not had a scan since april 2009 because he did not want one). He passed away very suddenly, very peacefully after shoulder and arm pain in the early morning last Friday--cardiac arrest or MI probably. He would never take anything but his Tarceva, enzymnes, vitamins and an occasional on half aspirin tab. He was a physician who was very conservative about meds--and very stoic. a wonderful man. The results of the PET and CT (which he never saw, thankfully) showed lt lobe of liver mets, some atelectasis and pericardial infusion, a 4cm tumor recurrance in body of pancreas. .He waited for Spring, and it arrived today
