Dear Suzi: I sympathize with you, but I guess this happens all the time. I always assume that my oncologist must be formulating some kind of strategy for treating me before he sees me, but it often turns out to be 'on the wing', perhaps because he is not optimistic about this particular cancer. In his mind, there is little opportunity for a virtuoso medical performance in reversing this disease. My husband is much more cynical than I am, but I just can't get used to being one of many cases and pretty predictable at that. By the way, how are you doing with the tumor marker (Ca 19-9) and liver enzymes? Mine is getting high: 136 (has been doubling every month for about three months) and my liver enzymes
