My father passed away and took Jesus' hand into heaven on September 22, 1997. My father fought a 31 month battle with pacreatic cancer. At diagnosis they told him possibly 6 months since his tumor was inoperable. I prayed daily for a miracle, the miracle we received was having him 25 months longer than we expected. He was blessed with having a good quality of life despite the cancer up until the last four weeks. The last four weeks he was bedfast and heavily medicated for the pain. For thirty one months I knew that he would leave us, but I still was not prepared to let him go. I know he is not in pain now and at peace but I miss him so bad. My mother, myself and two sisters, his sister and one brother were with him when he died. He told each of us good-bye, kissed my mom and told us he was going to heaven and would be waiting for us. My father was a soft spoken man, very caring man and a daily witness for Christ. He will be missed by many, many people.
