When I was diagnosed and before Operation in January 1997, my CA 19-9 was 1005. Three weeks after operation was down to 496. I took twice GEMZAR and had to stop it due to severe allergy and collapse of platelets. In March 1997 my CA 19-9 count was 162, May 250, June 539, August 750. However my CEA is (2.9). My doctors tells me not to worry about the high results. The tumour is not growing. My glucose test is slightly above normal (130). I am under permanent check-up. I am also taking alternative medicines such as ESSIAC, Wobe-Mogus, HORVI-C (which is made from snake poison). Have lost about 60 pounds since a year. Best wishes. A.
