Hit the 5 year mark in December. Had an islet cell carcinoma removed from the head & unicate process and another growth (benign) from tail along with spleen and gallbladder. No sign of mets anywhere. Surgery was done by amazing local surgeon in Evansville, IN. He suspected it wasn't adeno so spent time during surgery resecting the tumor from quite a few blood vessels and the mesentery of the colon. The path report said margins were clear. My oncologist, after consulting with others, said no chemo or radiation was necessary. All my checkups have been clear.

I've known 4 people with adeno who've passed within the past year and a half.
