Hi, my name is Sarah. I was diagnosed with islet cell non-functioning tumor of pancreas with one liver met in Feb. 2009. I am going to MD Anderson in Houston where I see Dr. Vauthey and Dr. Phan. I was given chemo (FAS- Fluorouracil, Streptozocin, Doxorubicin 5 days, every 28 days). I had a whipple and liver resection in June 2009. All lymph nodes and margins were clear. I recovered from the whipple with no complications and started back teaching Aug. 18. The only problem I have is that I get tired. I had a CT scan in Nov. and it was clear. I go back in 6 months.
