my dad has a mass on the tail of pancreas that we have found out (through going through records at the radiology place) was actually been there in a ct scan 5 years. it has grown about 1 cm in those 5 years. a new scan in December showed extensive lymph nodes and 3 mets to the liver. biopsy of the liver came back unable to diagnoses primary origin, but showing that a 'poorly differentiated carcinoma with neuroendocrine features'. we saw a pancreatic specialist who wants to treat with GTX. community oncologist is recommending etoposide and cisplatin.

I know that's a long story, but we are so confused - does anyone have any similar experience??? thanks so much!!!!!
